Responsibilities


As a Registered Nurse in the PACU, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing care and oversight for surgical patients during their recovery from anesthesia.
  • Utilizing the nursing process, critical thinking, and technical skills to deliver safe and effective nursing care.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Exhibiting professionalism and effective communication in all interactions.
  • Demonstrating teamwork and adaptability while serving as a resource for the patient care team.
  • Being accountable for the quality of nursing services and promoting a positive image of the nursing profession.
Qualifications


To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a recovery room setting.
  • A current Registered Nurse License in Texas or a Multi-State Compact License (with Texas RN License obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
