Job Description

Production Supervisor (Plate Department) Overview

The Production Supervisor will oversee the operations within the Plate department, ensuring the efficient production of Plate products. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and assigning tasks to meet quality and cost objectives, addressing operational challenges, and recommending improvements in equipment and work methods. The supervisor will also handle grievances, enforce disciplinary actions when necessary, and facilitate interdepartmental coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead, supervise, and mentor team members to enhance productivity and work quality.
  2. Monitor equipment performance to ensure operational reliability.
  3. Guarantee compliance with all manufacturing standards.
  4. Communicate departmental goals, achievements, and challenges effectively.
  5. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
  6. Uphold high ethical standards and conduct operations professionally.
  7. Prepare and distribute production, maintenance, and project status reports as needed.
  8. Conduct in-house training sessions on safety, operations, quality, and maintenance.
  9. Collaborate with operators and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.

Additional Duties

  1. Utilize SAP to track and manage material flow within the department.
  2. Address missing confirmations in SAP as necessary.
  3. Manage consumables and supplies by monitoring usage and placing orders as required.
  4. Oversee employee time management through e-time systems.
  5. Facilitate overtime scheduling to meet production demands.
  6. Lead continuous improvement initiatives with active participation from the shop floor.
  7. Coordinate maintenance notifications and work with the Maintenance Department on breakdowns and preventive tasks.
  8. Document and maintain employee training records.

Education and Experience

A four-year technical degree is preferred, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
