- Maintain accurate documentation and effective communication among nursing teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Utilize critical thinking to assess patient needs and respond to dynamic healthcare situations promptly.
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care standards and safety protocols.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff, fostering professional development and accountability.
- Collaborate with educational institutions to support nursing students and ensure quality patient care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain required certifications and enhance clinical skills.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required. Candidates with an ADN or Diploma nursing degree enrolled in an RN to BS or RN to MS program may be considered.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a relevant specialty within the last 5 years is required.
Licensure: Current RN license in South Carolina and national nursing certification in specialty at the time of hire or within 6 months.
Work Environment
This position is full-time and requires working night shifts in a hospital setting, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff alike.
