About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vascular Surgeon to join our team at the US Veterans Health Administration. As a Vascular Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing complex surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform open and endovascular AAA surgical repair
  • Conduct dialysis access procedures
  • Diagnose and intervene in angiography, including mesenteric and peripheral vascular
  • Perform lower extremity bypass
  • Conduct open and endovascular carotid surgery
  • Supervise and teach surgical residents
  • Provide consultation in an outpatient clinic setting and on inpatient wards
  • Be responsible for initial evaluation and overall workups, history and physicals, and admission of vascular surgery patients as needed
  • Participate in committees
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief of Surgery or Chief of Staff
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship
  • Education: Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine
  • License: Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
  • Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

  • Board certification is preferred
