Position Details for CNC Machinist:

Key Responsibilities for CNC Machinist:
  • Engage in the creation and revision of risk assessments, ensuring all relevant assessments are reviewed annually.
  • Interpret and comprehend technical drawings and specifications necessary for assigned tasks, including size, tolerance, and finish requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and depth gauges to guarantee product quality.
  • Possess knowledge of fundamental 'G' and 'M' codes, with the capability to read and modify machine programs directly at the equipment. Basic computer skills are necessary for uploading and downloading machine programs.
  • Exhibit the ability to guide operators through the loading, machining, unloading, deburring, and other essential functions required for the operation of the assigned part.
  • Operate CNC machinery, including lathes and mills, to accurately manufacture products.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using or learning to use a computer for entering production data into a tracking system.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for each operation, including setup sheets and Serial Number Tracking Sheets, ensuring operators are equipped to manage the equipment effectively.

Qualifications for CNC Machinist:
  • Proficient CNC machining skills, including work holding, tooling, setup, fixture and tool offsets, and program editing are essential.
  • Ability to maintain precise tolerances as required.
  • Familiarity with quality control measuring tools is mandatory.
