CNC Machinist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at PeopleShare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, including work holding, tooling, setup, fixture, and tool offsets, as well as program editing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machinery, lathe, and mill to accurately cut product
  • Develop and update risk assessments and review all applicable risk assessments annually
  • Read and understand drawings/prints required for the assigned job, including size and tolerance and finish requirements
  • Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, and other measuring devices to ensure quality product
  • Knowledge of basic G and M codes and ability to read and edit machine programs
  • Ability to instruct an operator in the loading, machining process, unloading, deburring, and other functions required to complete the operation

Requirements:

  • Advanced CNC machining skills, including work holding, tooling, setup, fixture, and tool offsets
  • Ability to hold close tolerances as required
  • Knowledge of quality control measuring tools
