About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Professional Employment Group of Colorado. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate and reliable estimates for multiple, simultaneous projects in the heavy civil construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Development: Develop and manage estimates on multiple, simultaneous projects from Concept to GMP or hard bid.
  • Team Management: Manage estimating teams in the development of accurate estimates, develop, communicate and manage expectations of estimating teams, and balance workload and assignments among estimators to meet deadlines.
  • Client and Design Team Collaboration: Work with clients and design teams, lead and participate in accurate quantity take-off and detailed estimates, and develop a plan for satisfying small business goals when required.
  • Trade Contractor Identification and Sub Lists: Identify appropriate trade contractors and develop sub lists for budgets, bids and RFPs.
  • Bid Tabulations and Indirect Cost Estimates: Develop bid tabulations and indirect cost estimates/proposals for General Conditions/Requirements/Fees/Permits/etc. on negotiated and hard bid projects.
  • Cost Strategies and Preconstruction Support: Collaboratively develop cost strategies to meet client budget needs and support preconstruction efforts of multiple office locations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in heavy-civil construction or mining estimating.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, understanding of CSI, Masterformat and Uniformat, and experience with heavy-industrial/mechanical installations.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Building Connected, Agtek, and B2W Estimating software.
  • Soft Skills: Self-starter, works well under pressure, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
