Job Summary:
The Custodial Services Specialist is responsible for the daily sanitation of patient rooms and ancillary areas, including the restocking of paper products and thorough cleaning of discharge rooms following established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms and ancillary areas, ensuring compliance with established sanitation standards.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning techniques, solutions, and equipment to maintain cleanliness.
- Conduct preventative cleaning in occupied patient areas following the Ten Step Interactive Cleaning and High-Profile Cleaning Procedures.
- Adhere to hospital standards for patient and guest relations, promoting a positive image of Akron Children's Hospital.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards, working efficiently to achieve excellent quality assurance scores.
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Technical Expertise:
- Experience interacting with various organizational levels is essential.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills are essential.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required.
