Job Title: CT Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Marinette, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate CT equipment, perform diagnostic procedures, and provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Competently operate CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures.
  • Obtain medical history from patients and compare requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
  • Position patients and select proper scanning factors, adjusting factors to attain the appropriate images, and provide radiation protection and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist, and assist in the proper scanning techniques.
  • Post-process images as directed and accurately identify and label images, including patient name, medical record unit (MRU) number, and location or position of scan on all images.
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system, and document billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges.
  • Identify equipment performance issues and perform equipment quality assurance tests and calibration procedures, reporting malfunctioning equipment to appropriate staff.
  • Perform various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.

Requirements:

  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 18 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.

Working Conditions:

The CT Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The individual must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
