Job Summary:

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Per Diem CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, obtaining medical history from patients, and preparing and administering contrast media under the direction of a Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Competently operate CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures.
  • Obtain medical history from patients and compare requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist.
  • Provide radiation protection and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies.
  • Post-process images as directed and accurately identify and label images.
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with various regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 18 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance. Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
