Patient Access Coordinator

Job Summary
The Patient Access Specialist is a key member of the Crystal Clinic team, responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our services. This role requires a high level of customer service, technical skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Registers patients in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring integrity of patient data in Cerner and Centricity systems.
- Conducts patient/guarantor interviews, explains hospital policies, financial responsibilities, and patient rights and responsibilities.
- Verifies insurance eligibility for upcoming patient appointments using eligibility systems.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information, including patient records, charts, and hospital documents.
- Provides financial counseling services for patients who are uninsured, underinsured, or scheduled for surgery.
- Recruits, registers, and trains patients on how to use Patient Portal systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree or progress towards degree preferred.
- One year of demonstrated experience in customer service or patient access related functions, including patient registration, scheduling, and verification.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, cash handling, multitasking, and excellent computer skills.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM, full-time, 40 hours per week.
