Position Summary:

The Financial Records Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate financial documentation, generating reports, and reconciling financial statements. This role involves utilizing accounting software to manage business transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, disbursements, expense reports, and receipts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record customer payments by processing cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
  • Verify and enter transactions to post revenues accurately.
  • Update receivables by calculating outstanding invoices.
  • Investigate account discrepancies by collaborating with sales, customer service, and clients.
  • Resolve unauthorized deductions by making necessary adjustments.
  • Manage collections by reviewing customer payment plans and coordinating with the collections department.
  • Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts and preparing monthly reports.
  • Safeguard the organization’s assets by ensuring confidentiality of information.
  • Enhance job knowledge through ongoing education and training opportunities.
