Role Overview:
The position involves overseeing the evaluation and analysis of various credit data to facilitate informed lending decisions within the Commercial Real Estate division of BMO Financial Group. The focus is on fostering a superior client service atmosphere to meet and surpass customer expectations. This role entails making credit evaluations and recommendations aligned with prudent credit principles and adherence to Bank Policies & Procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conducts thorough underwriting, analysis, and drafting of credit memoranda. Gathers and interprets credit data to inform lending decisions for new, renewal, and extension loans.
+ Evaluates and assesses risks associated with both new and existing business ventures.
+ Manages a portfolio of established loan relationships, ensuring meticulous attention to financial statements, industry risks, collateral requirements, loan structuring, pricing, and credit performance.
+ Prepares comprehensive reports on loan statuses, including overdue accounts, documentation discrepancies, financial performance updates, and risk assessments.
+ Provides well-reasoned opinions regarding creditworthiness and prepares summaries of findings.
+ Stays updated on financial and market trends impacting the portfolio and analyzes their potential effects.
+ Cultivates and strengthens relationships with clients, aiming for high levels of customer satisfaction.
+ Initiates cross-selling strategies to enhance client engagement.
+ Leverages extensive knowledge of banking products and processes to ensure a seamless client experience.
+ Coordinates with the closing department, clients, and legal representatives as necessary.
+ Acts as a primary resource for resolving client issues and ensuring their expectations are consistently met.
+ Serves as a trusted advisor to the assigned business unit.
+ Engages in negotiations to fulfill business objectives.
+ Proposes and implements solutions based on comprehensive analysis of business challenges.
+ Conducts independent assessments to address strategic issues and prioritize business/group strategies.
+ Acts as the key subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders.
+ Participates in developing financial models and analytical tools to assist clients in evaluating their capital structures.
+ Designs and generates regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
+ Remains informed about financing trends relevant to target markets and communicates insights to team members.
+ Oversees the creation of concise and well-structured credit correspondence.
+ Coordinates the development of lending proposals and presentations to prospective clients to maximize engagement and returns.

+ Several years of relevant experience in Portfolio Management.
+ Extensive knowledge and technical expertise in Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management.
