Job Overview

Northern Arizona Healthcare is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Nurse Residency Program at Flagstaff Medical Center. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The Nurse Residency Program is designed to provide new graduate nurses with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the acute care setting. You will work closely with experienced preceptors and educators to develop your clinical skills and knowledge, and participate in a comprehensive orientation program that includes classroom learning, simulation, and hands-on experience.

As a Nurse Resident, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, including the Emergency Department, Operating Room, Critical Care Cluster, and Medical/Surgical/Telemetry units.

We are committed to providing our Nurse Residents with the support and resources needed to succeed in their roles. This includes access to ongoing education and training, mentorship from experienced nurses, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
  • Develop clinical skills and knowledge through classroom learning, simulation, and hands-on experience
  • Work closely with experienced preceptors and educators to develop clinical skills and knowledge
  • Participate in a comprehensive orientation program that includes classroom learning, simulation, and hands-on experience
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive work environment
Qualifications

To be eligible for the Nurse Residency Program, you must have a current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Arizona and be able to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to start date. You must also be able to enroll in a BSN program within one year of hire and complete within five years of hire.
