We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Care Specialist to join our team at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. As a Mental Health Care Specialist, you will provide psychiatric consultation to inpatients on medical/surgical units. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $165,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role: This is a full-time position, with a schedule of 32 hours per week, including weekend shifts. You will work in a fast-paced hospital setting and will be required to multitask and manage acute clinical scenarios. You will need to be comfortable working with patients who have substance use disorders and have a strong understanding of psychiatric diagnosis and psychopharmacology.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's degree with an advanced knowledge of nursing and/or medical theory and practice. You will also need to be licensed to practice in the State of Maine or eligible for licensure. Additionally, you should have at least 2 years of experience in ambulatory mental health or hospital care. A strong understanding of psychiatric diagnosis and psychopharmacology is essential.
