Job Title: Weekend RN Supervisor
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Berkshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. As a Weekend RN Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the care and safety of our residents and employees during your tour of duty.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and review reports from previous shifts and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
- Make rounds on all assigned nursing units and assess the condition of residents and their environment.
- Work with Respiratory Therapists and LV. Company to ensure proper procedures and protocols are followed.
- Accompany physicians on rounds and assist with examinations and treatments.
- Ensure that all lab and diagnostic reports are reported to the physician and followed up as needed.
- Supervise all meal times and ensure that residents are served and fed properly.
- Have the authority to discipline and terminate subordinate staff when necessary.
- Make all necessary arrangements for residents to be transferred out of the facility to hospitals, clinics, and doctor's offices.
- Evaluate and provide first aid to residents and employees as needed.
- Document all incidents and grievances in the resident's medical records.
- Assist with admissions, re-admissions, and expirations, ensuring that all documentation is properly completed.
- Complete assigned tasks, including MDS and care plans, infection control reports, and review of Electronic Medical Records.
Requirements:
- Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Has supervisory experience in a long-term healthcare setting.
- Demonstrates evidence of leadership and management skills.
- Has knowledge of Federal and State health regulations.
- Experience with care plans and MDS.
- Experience with ventilator equipment and LV. therapy.
- Flexibility in work hours.
- Physically and mentally capable of performing job responsibilities.
