Animal Care Specialist - Client Liaison

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Specialist to join our team at Veterinary Surgery Specialists in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a key member of our front desk staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to pet owners and their pets.

Job Overview:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Coordinate appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits with veterinary staff.
  • Record and maintain accurate client and patient information.
  • Process payments and handle client concerns.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide empathetic and professional communication to clients.
  • Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maintain knowledge of hospital services and policies to provide accurate information to clients.
  • Contribute to continuously improving customer service processes.
  • Support cross-training initiatives to enhance team performance.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in animal healthcare or customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Compassion and empathy for animals and their owners.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including appointment scheduling software and electronic medical records.

Estimated Salary: $16-$17 per hour, based on experience.
