As a Veterinary Assistant at Downtown Veterinary Clinic, you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented team of veterinary professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and promote a culture of compassion and empathy.

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of animal behavior, physiology, and pharmacology, as well as experience working in an animal hospital or veterinary clinic.

The estimated salary for this role is $20-24 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 401(k) program with company match.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with medical procedures, including surgeries and anesthesia
  • Provide education and guidance to clients on animal health and wellness
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and process improvements
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in animal science or related field
  • Experience working in an animal hospital or veterinary clinic
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
