We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at CoolSys. As a key member of our installation and service team, you will be responsible for the installation of refrigeration systems, piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, and providing support on construction jobs.
Key Responsibilities- Install refrigeration systems following customer specifications, applicable building codes, and proper piping practices.
- Provide support on construction jobs by piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, including electrical wiring as required to complete the project.
- Install pipe hangers as directed by the foreman.
- Provide construction support by welding and slip-hosing copper pipes, and assist the foreman as needed on the job.
- Install cooler box coils and install new supermarket refrigeration systems or remodel existing supermarket refrigeration systems.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent work experience and trade or technical school classes.
- 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably with hands-on field experience in commercial refrigeration, electrical, and/or fixtures construction.
- Experience in copper brazing, market remodeling.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems and piping of refrigeration equipment.
- Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to pipe refrigeration equipment.
- Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.
- Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ongoing education and training opportunities.
