Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Physicians East. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining radiographic equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Radiographic Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is in good working order, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Prepare Patients for Procedures: Position patients, adjust immobilization devices, and move equipment into position to ensure accurate and safe imaging.
  • Produce High-Quality Images: Use knowledge of radiation protection techniques, beam restrictive devices, and patient shielding to minimize radiation exposure and produce high-quality images.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Continuing Education: Participate in in-service education, staff meetings, and continuing education programs to maintain optimal technical knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology: Must have an associate degree from an accredited program in radiologic technology.
  • Registered by ARRT and State of NC: Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the State of North Carolina.
  • 2 Years of Clinical Experience: Preferred experience in a clinical setting, with a strong understanding of radiographic equipment and procedures.
  • Knowledge of PACS and Digital Radiography: Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and computed/digital radiography.
Work Environment

This is a full-time role based at our Arlington and Kinston locations, with a typical schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Overtime may be required to ensure patients are taken care of, tasks are completed, and calls are returned in a timely manner.
