Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a First-Line Electrical Engineering Manager to oversee the Mission Systems Radar / IFF team.

This role encompasses responsibilities related to the Multifunction Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) Radar and managing the technical supplier management (TSM) for a key supplier on the platform.

The MESA Radar is sourced from a leading electronic systems provider. This position will report to the Senior Engineering Manager for Surveillance and Self Protection.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead a team engaged in engineering and technical functions, including procurement, technical subcontract management, development, integration, testing, and certification of the MESA Radar to support program objectives.

Establish and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and team members.
Oversee radar and related tasks, including customer-directed studies and analysis for future system upgrades.
Act as the cost account manager (CAM) for the Radar IPT team and the supplier.
Manage a team involved in Electronic and Electrical Engineering activities.
Develop and implement project and process plans, policies, and operational goals.
Provide oversight and approval for technical strategies, products, and processes.
Foster employee development and motivation.

This position requires onsite work. The selected candidate will be expected to work at the designated location.
This role necessitates an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

Minimum of three years of experience in leading or managing engineering projects or teams.
At least five years of engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proven skills in Technical Subcontract Management on large-scale programs.

Experience in a Mission Systems IPT role or with Mission Systems Radar technologies, including hardware and software design, system integration, flight test support, and requirements verification.
