Role Summary:
As an intern, you will collaborate with seasoned professionals in a supportive environment dedicated to the creation of impactful medical devices. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in various facets of mechanical engineering and design, enabling you to apply your academic knowledge in a professional context.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside engineering and design teams to conceptualize and prototype medical devices and technologies.
  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, electronics, and software for medical applications.
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative solutions to address technical challenges in healthcare.
  • Support hands-on prototyping efforts, including 3D printing, machining, and assembly of prototype devices.
  • Conduct research on materials, components, and technologies pertinent to medical device development.
  • Assist in testing and validation processes to ensure the safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance of prototypes.
  • Document design iterations, test outcomes, and technical specifications in line with company standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate project activities and achieve project milestones.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in medical device design and development.

Qualifications:
Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline. Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, and assembly of mechanical and/or electronic systems is essential. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and design is required. A basic understanding of electronics and familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) is advantageous. Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently while managing time efficiently in a dynamic environment. A passion for innovation and a keen interest in the intersection of engineering and healthcare is highly valued.
