Job Title: Preschool Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team at Kids In Distress. The ideal candidate will have a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or equivalent, and a High School diploma or GED. A minimum of one year of experience working in a child care facility is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for infants through pre-kindergarten.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.

Requirements:

  • Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or equivalent.
  • 40-45 hours DCF Childcare Licensing training and exams.
  • High School diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience working in a child care facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Two or more years of experience working with infants through pre-kindergarten in a child care facility.
  • Advanced training in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse and/or Child Development.

Additionally, you will receive a SIGN-ON INCENTIVE OF 40 HOURS OF VACATION TIME OFF AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF YOUR 90 DAYS PROBATIONARY PERIOD, TO BE TAKEN WITHIN YOUR FIRST YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT.
