Job Summary
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center. As a PRN LPN Floor Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering skilled nursing care to our veteran residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatment accurately for assigned residents.
- Consult with physicians, receive, record, and implement orders, and schedule appointments.
- Document residents' health changes via acute care nurse's notes and shift change nursing reports.
- Formulate plans of care for new residents and prepare all required reports and documentation.
- Conduct daily rounds, observing and evaluating the physical and emotional status of assigned residents, and take necessary actions to ensure their health and well-being.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for nursing care, consulting with the Nursing Supervisor/Unit Manager as needed.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse in Virginia.
- Nursing experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.
Additional Considerations
As a PRN LPN Floor Nurse, you will be required to commit to working one day a week, one weekend a month, and one holiday. You will be provided with a confirmation of receipt when your application and/or résumé is submitted successfully.
