Position Overview:
The Richmond Center is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and monitor the nutritional health of residents, offering insights to the medical team and formulating comprehensive care strategies.
  • Address the unique dietary needs of residents, particularly those requiring nutritional support, managing skin integrity, and addressing significant weight fluctuations.
  • Oversee the acquisition of nutritional supplies and oral supplements, collaborating with external vendors and relevant department heads.
  • Ensure that meal services are compliant with prescribed dietary modifications.
  • Provide education to residents, families, and staff on nutrition principles and dietary adjustments.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of Dietary Care plans to uphold high standards of care.
  • Participate in weekly interdisciplinary meetings to refine and enhance residents' care plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to guarantee appropriate diets for residents with swallowing difficulties.
  • Review menu modifications to ensure adherence to facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Update dietary orders and menu adjustments in the electronic menu system on a daily basis.
  • Supervise and collaborate with the dietary team to ensure outstanding resident care.
  • Conduct routine audits to maintain quality nutrition care standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding weight monitoring.
  • Engage with the interdisciplinary team daily to deliver quality care to residents.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:
- Current registration as a Dietitian
- A degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities
- Familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations
- Proficiency in computer systems, including EMR software and menu management tools.
