Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives to optimize energy usage during peak periods through energy efficiency and demand response programs.
  • Communicate program events to leadership and senior individual contributors, ensuring seamless integration with overall utility operations and customer engagement efforts.
  • Analyze complex energy usage data, load patterns, and grid conditions to recommend potential opportunities and optimize program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including grid operations, customer service, and marketing, to ensure program success.
  • Develop and implement compliance and regulatory requirements, including reporting obligations and adherence to program rules and protocols.
  • Identify areas for improvement in program-related activities, such as training, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Represent the company in meetings with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, and technology providers, to stay informed about industry trends and share best practices.
  • Provide expert training and support for program-related topics, ensuring a high level of knowledge and expertise within the organization.
  • Engage with customers through outreach events, promoting program-related information and fostering a deeper understanding of our initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Seven or more years of experience in demand response principles, leading customer programs, or conservation/efficiency initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, environmental science, economics, business, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience related to utility programs, such as transportation electrification, building electrification, energy efficiency, demand response, or equity.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, R, Python, and experience with data visualization platforms, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
