Job Description:
Speech Pathologist Role
We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our outpatient team in Springfield, MA. As a Pediatric Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, treating, and following up with clients on an inpatient and/or outpatient therapy basis as assigned. You will provide age-appropriate care to patients, demonstrating knowledge of developmental stages and applying developmental theories and concepts when planning and implementing care for patients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the appropriateness of diagnostic and therapeutic materials and equipment.
- Counsel clients, families, and others in relation to understanding and assisting in the identification and treatment of hearing impairment.
- Complete department operational procedures, including scheduling, billing, equipment usage, time-off requests, and caseload coverage assignments.
- Demonstrate relevant knowledge and application of clinical skills in evaluation, treatment, and counseling.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor of Science degree, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association, and certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
