Job Overview

The Pediatric Palliative Care RN will be a key member of the Baystate Health team, providing specialized care to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families in the Baystate Home Health service area.

Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, developmental stages, pharmacology, health promotion, and disease prevention and treatment.
  2. Apply developmental theories and concepts when implementing care, acting as a resource to staff regarding pediatric case management, clinical assessments, interventions, and documentation.
  3. Work closely with the clinical educator to maintain pediatric competencies according to department standards.
  4. Participate in twice-monthly interdisciplinary team IDG meetings to promote coordination of services.
  5. Establish realistic goals and develop plans of treatment in cooperation with the patient, family, and members of the healthcare team.
  6. Average salary for this position is around $120,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
