Job Title: RN Staff Nurse

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department. As a RN Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and interventions
  • Supervise nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • One (1) year of acute care RN experience required
  • Exceptional recent graduates will be considered
  • 2 years of RN experience in Medical / Surgical, Telemetry, or Emergency Department experience preferred
  • New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R
  • BLS/ACLS/PALS Training
  • Infection Control and Barrier Precaution
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems
