Position Overview:

The Aircraft Structural Repair Technician is responsible for the maintenance, fabrication, and installation of metal components and assemblies within aircraft structures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute riveting tasks in accordance with established FAA standards.
  • Identify and differentiate various metal types based on their structural integrity and thickness.
  • Conduct metal bending operations adhering to aviation industry specifications.
  • Remove existing fasteners from aircraft structures as required.
  • Handle a range of chemicals while strictly following OSHA safety protocols regarding personal protective equipment.
  • Construct components for aviation applications utilizing diverse sheet metal materials.
  • Make informed decisions regarding repair methodologies and understand limitations of repair capabilities.
  • Comprehend and implement FAA regulations.
  • Interpret blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and modifications, adhering to both written and verbal directives.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of completed tasks.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) is highly desirable.
  • Possession of a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in sheet metal work or completion of a relevant technical training program is essential.
  • Must supply personal tools.
  • Ability to effectively utilize and manage ERP systems, timekeeping tools, and company intranet.
  • Demonstrate effective time management to align with company priorities.

Physical Abilities:
  • Ability to maneuver in confined spaces.
  • Capable of lying in a prone position for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working at heights of at least 40 feet for prolonged durations.
  • Lift, balance, and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in both enclosed hangar environments and outdoor conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in a shared workspace.
