Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled Aircraft Structural Repair Technicians to join our team in Oscoda, Michigan. The role involves the repair, fabrication, modification, and installation of sheet metal components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute rivet installation and removal in accordance with FAA specifications.
- Identify and differentiate various metal types based on structural integrity and thickness.
- Perform precise sheet metal bends adhering to aviation standards.
- Utilize appropriate safety measures when handling chemicals, complying with OSHA regulations.
- Construct aircraft components using diverse sheet metal materials.
- Make informed decisions regarding repair feasibility and methods.
- Interpret and apply FAA regulations effectively.
- Read and understand blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and modifications.
- Complete job documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in MRO is highly desirable.
- A valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license is strongly preferred.
- Experience with sheet metal work or completion of a relevant technical program is required.
- Must possess personal tools necessary for the job.
- Ability to effectively utilize ERP systems, time tracking, and company intranet.
- Demonstrated time management skills to meet organizational priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to maneuver in confined spaces.
- Capable of maintaining a prone position for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights of at least 40 feet for prolonged durations.
- Must be able to lift, balance, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in both enclosed hangars and various outdoor conditions.
- Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
