Salary RangeThe estimated salary for this role is $83,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Cardiac Catheterization to join our team as a Senior Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- You will provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
- You will complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- You will address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- You will formulate, coordinate, and provide plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization with members of the interdisciplinary team.
- You will evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise the plan of care based upon patient response to interventions.
- You will initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members and take action to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs.
- You will make assignments in collaboration with other team members.
- You will direct and alter assignments in response to changes in patient situations.
- You will promote teamwork by delegating tasks to team members based on skill, expertise, time availability, acuity, and needs of the patient.
- You will problem solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment.
- You will participate in unit-based decision-making regarding the utilization of evidence-based practice.
- You will actively participate as a team member working toward team goals of the unit and organization and be accountable for unit and system specific metrics.
- You will support and participate in initiatives that support the Magnet mission.
- You will actively participate in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities designed to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety.
