Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Production Assembly Technician to join our team at VIP Staffing. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical and electro-mechanical boards, parts, hardware, and other door management security products.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position working Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. As an Assembly Worker, you will be responsible for setting up jobs, packing products, and performing related duties as required. You will work closely with the Quality Auditor to ensure that all production output meets work instruction specifications and quality attributes.

Responsibilities:
• Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical boards, parts, hardware, and other door management security products using various parts, such as electronic components, PC boards, covers, plates, boxes, screws, nuts & wires.
• Operate/uses machines, hand tools, small power tools, voltage meters, and testing equipment to assemble and test product.
• Review work orders and ensure appropriate level of materials, tools, equipment, and resources are available for production functions.
• Read process sheets and assemble boards and units for standard and custom orders.
• Work from samples, sample drawings, blueprints, schematics, as well as written and verbal instructions.
• Strip and wrap wires, solder parts and wires to units.
• Insert small component parts and/or wiring into printed circuit boards.
• Package product and prepare for shipping. Ensure all packaging is according to workmanship standard.
• Maintain departmental records and logs.
• Determine item identification and stock location. Store items in bins, racks, or shelves, according to identifying part number.
• Collaborate with Quality Auditor to ensure all production output meets work instruction specifications to eliminate product variances, waste, and customer complaints.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You should also have knowledge of assembly processes, electrical systems, and mechanical principles. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
