We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Technician to join our team at AdventHealth. As a Nurse Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with their activities of daily living, including basic hygiene, skin care, nutritional and dietary needs, elimination needs, physical activity needs, and comfort measures.
- Perform basic general patient care routines and tasks in a safe, competent, therapeutic, and cost-effective manner.
- Obtain and document vital signs per unit standards and report abnormal findings to the licensed nurse in a prompt manner.
- Collect lab specimens as directed, per hospital standards.
- Collect, report, and accurately document intake and output information for assigned patient areas.
- Ensure personal hygiene and comfort care is delivered to all patients.
- Notify licensed nurse of problematic IV sites and discontinue peripheral IV sites per licensed nurse instructions.
- High school diploma or (GED) equivalent is required.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing program and has completed the first semester of Nursing Fundamentals or has completed an accredited nursing program within one (1) year and has not obtained their license for Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Basic Life Support Card is required.
