We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Assembler to oversee and coordinate the assembly process of various products at our facility in Houston, TX.

Job Summary

The Senior Assembler will be responsible for ensuring that products are assembled correctly and efficiently, meeting quality standards and production deadlines. They will work closely with a team of assemblers, provide guidance and training, troubleshoot assembly issues, and assist in the development and improvement of assembly procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Quality Control: Build and assemble mechanical components for Switchgear and/or Breaker units according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Lead team members on all aspects of ship prep, assist in training employees, and perform Root Cause Analysis on engineering changes.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and track shortages, assist in processing ship loose, and communicate with QA/QC.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Promote a safety culture, attend safety meetings, and ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred.
  • Experience: 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Ability to read a tape measure, basic command of the English language, knowledge of system software, and safely use variety of hand/power tools.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Temperature-controlled manufacturing or industrial environment with occasional outside activities.
  • Physical Demands: Able to maintain body equilibrium, agility to prevent falling, and meet physical lifting demands up to 50lbs.
