Job SummaryThe Senior Assembler will be responsible for ensuring that products are assembled correctly and efficiently, meeting quality standards and production deadlines. They will work closely with a team of assemblers, provide guidance and training, troubleshoot assembly issues, and assist in the development and improvement of assembly procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assembly and Quality Control: Build and assemble mechanical components for Switchgear and/or Breaker units according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Team Leadership: Lead team members on all aspects of ship prep, assist in training employees, and perform Root Cause Analysis on engineering changes.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and track shortages, assist in processing ship loose, and communicate with QA/QC.
- Safety and Maintenance: Promote a safety culture, attend safety meetings, and ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred.
- Experience: 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Ability to read a tape measure, basic command of the English language, knowledge of system software, and safely use variety of hand/power tools.
- Work Environment: Temperature-controlled manufacturing or industrial environment with occasional outside activities.
- Physical Demands: Able to maintain body equilibrium, agility to prevent falling, and meet physical lifting demands up to 50lbs.
