Job Summary
As a Mechanical Assembler at NOV Inc, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and packaging of mechanical parts for shipment. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical products, ensuring all components are correctly installed and meet the specified requirements.
- Inspect assembled parts for any defects or abnormalities, reporting any issues to the production team.
- Ensure all products are assembled using the correct components, adhering to the 'bill of material'.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall efficiency of the production process.
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities
- Ability to work with heavy equipment, following safety guidelines and procedures.
- Capacity to learn and apply new skills, contributing to the growth and development of the team.
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the Drawworks area, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
- Basic understanding of production and FAT procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure availability of material on the assembly floor for all capital builds, minimizing delays and inefficiencies.
- Assemble and install electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components, adhering to specifications and quality standards.
Education & Experience Qualifications
- Ability to read and write in English, with a strong understanding of technical documentation.
- Five years of previous warehouse experience, with a focus on mechanical assembly and packaging.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a strong foundation in mechanics and engineering principles.
Job Requirements
- Limited travel, with occasional opportunities for professional development and growth.
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Exposure to loud noise, moving parts, and varying temperatures, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

- Ability to operate JIB and Overhead cranes, with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
- Capacity to safely lift up to 45 pounds, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
- Ability to use office equipment, including copiers and scanners, with a strong understanding of technical documentation.
- Wearing of a Fall Protection Harness when performing work at heights, with a strong focus on safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to use company software, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, with a strong understanding of technical documentation.
- Writing, sending, and receiving emails to internal customers and NOV employees, with a strong focus on effective communication and collaboration.
- Operation of Class II & IV Forklifts (Reach Truck & Hyster 50-170), with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
