Job Summary

Assemble and package mechanical parts with precision and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality products for shipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble all basic expendable mechanical products with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Create sealing surfaces on spherical parts through lapping, adhering to quality standards.
  • Inspect products cosmetically for mis-machined parts, damaged parts, and any other abnormalities, maintaining a high level of quality control.
  • Ensure all products are assembled using the correct components per "bill of material", adhering to production guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures, prioritizing safety and quality.

Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities

  • Ability to work with heavy equipment, demonstrating physical stamina and dexterity.
  • Capability to learn on the job and apply new skills, showcasing a growth mindset.
  • Assist with the cleanliness of the Drawworks area, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Basic understanding of production and FAT procedures, ensuring seamless integration with production teams.
  • Ensure availability of material on the assembly floor for all capital builds, promoting efficient production.
  • Assemble and install either electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • Reads and writes in English, ensuring effective communication.
  • Five years of previous warehouse experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in production and logistics.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience, showcasing a strong educational background.

Job Requirements

  • Limited (less than 5%) travel, ensuring minimal disruption to work and personal life.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
  • Exposed to loud noise while in the warehouse, requiring effective hearing protection.
  • Exposed to moving parts while on the shop floor, necessitating attention to safety protocols.
  • Must be flexible to work overtime, when needed, demonstrating a commitment to meeting production demands.
  • Exposed to occasional hot and/or cold weather depending on outside climate conditions and warehouse temperature, requiring adaptability and resilience.

Technical Competencies

  • Operates both JIB and Overhead cranes, demonstrating proficiency and safety awareness.
  • Must be able to safety lift up to 45 pounds, ensuring physical stamina and dexterity.
  • Uses office copier to scan and copy documentation, showcasing technical skills and adaptability.
  • Wears a Fall Protection Harness when performing work at heights, prioritizing safety and health.
  • May use company software to include: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, demonstrating technical proficiency and adaptability.
  • Writes, sends, and receives emails to internal Customers/NOV Employees, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • May operate Class II & IV Forklifts (Reach Truck & Hyster 50-170), demonstrating technical skills and adaptability.
