Role Summary
- Engages in engineering responsibilities related to the planning and design of mechanical components tailored for production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Interprets and analyzes blueprints, technical schematics, and computer-generated documentation.
- Collaborates with drafters to develop structural designs using drafting tools or computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Conducts research, designs, evaluates, installs, operates, and maintains mechanical products, systems, and processes to fulfill specifications.
- Consults with engineers and other personnel to implement operational procedures, troubleshoot system issues, or provide technical insights.
- Suggests design enhancements to mitigate machine or system failures.
- Performs research to assess the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment and systems.
- Investigates equipment malfunctions to diagnose issues and recommends solutions to maintenance teams.
- Creates and tests models of alternative designs and processing methods to evaluate feasibility and operational impacts.
- Oversees all aspects of production, including the selection of manufacturing techniques and the operation of product designs.
- Specifies system components or directs modifications to ensure compliance with engineering design and performance standards.
- Analyzes customer design proposals and specifications to assess feasibility, costs, and maintenance needs.
- Drafts performance requirements for product development or engineering initiatives.
- This position is not remote and requires presence in the office.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a professional mechanical engineering role.
- Skills: Proficiency in Solidworks and PDM is essential.
