About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our design team at Meade Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases.
  • Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers.
  • Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems, and drawings.
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline design teams, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams, and manufacturers.
  • Major equipment selection and scheduling.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of Professional Mechanical Engineering design experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or other mission-critical projects.
  • Valid Mechanical P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (will consider Engineering in Training certification).
  • Experience working independently, managing priorities, and providing mentorship to junior staff.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes.
  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to work as a team.
  • Top-notch organization, attention to detail, combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit.
