Key Responsibilities:
The Culinary Instruction Specialist will serve as an educator in a traditional classroom environment, delivering instruction in the field of Culinary Arts.

  • Foster a positive and engaging atmosphere within the classroom to maximize student motivation.
  • Maintain a high level of discipline to ensure optimal learning conditions.
  • Establish strong rapport with students to enhance the learning experience.
  • Utilize all available curriculum resources effectively.
  • Prepare adequately for classroom activities.
  • Maintain student personnel records.
  • Document and submit daily attendance to the Student Records department.
  • Ensure the security and maintenance of classroom equipment and supplies.
  • Be accountable for the cleanliness and organization of the classroom.
  • Prepare reports, including student/staff hours, requisitions, and monthly evaluations.

Qualifications:
Minimum: Must possess a Vocational Teaching Credential or be able to obtain one within six months of hire. Practical experience in the relevant subject area is required, along with the ability to convey knowledge effectively to meet specific learning objectives.

Preferred: Extensive practical knowledge of the trade and prior teaching experience.

Required Knowledge: Understanding of methods to instill appropriate behavior and study habits in adolescent students; knowledge of housekeeping techniques and management; ability to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate, and execute instructions fluently in English.
