Clinical Dietitian Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Reid Health. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients across the continuum of care.

**Responsibilities**

* Provide consultation to physicians and other staff members to determine patient nutritional needs
* Review medical charts to assess patient needs and develop a personalized nutritional plan
* Interview patients and/or caregivers to gather information about food habits and identify barriers to learning
* Perform nutritional assessments to determine nutrition diagnosis and intervention
* Provide medical nutrition therapy using age-appropriate techniques and accurately calculate calorie, protein, and fluid needs
* Collaborate with other hospital services to plan and implement patient care and nutritional education

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in food, nutrition, or food service administration
* Successful experience in hospital dietetics preferred
* Must be a registered dietitian or registry-eligible
