About the Role: The Swift Group is in search of a seasoned Proposal Manager to enhance our proposal development efforts. This role requires a dynamic individual who is committed to crafting innovative and compliant proposals. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with the Business Development team and executive leadership throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement portals and manage task order distribution to relevant internal teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and industry partners to identify and cultivate potential opportunities, leveraging knowledge of company strengths, client relationships, and contract vehicles.
- Work closely with the Capture Manager to develop win themes, review draft RFPs, and create comprehensive proposal outlines.
- Manage final production processes for both print and electronic proposal submissions.
- Establish and maintain a proposal schedule to ensure timely submission of RFP responses, facilitating meetings such as proposal kickoffs, storyboarding sessions, and reviews.
- Provide clear and concise direction to proposal team members, including the capture manager and volume leads.
- Document and refine the proposal process during downtime to optimize existing tools and methodologies.
- Support training and mentorship initiatives for internal proposal team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in government contracting.
- Proven ability to manage, write, and coordinate complex proposals.
- Experience leading proposal teams and engaging key stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with SharePoint and MS Teams for collaborative proposal development.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Association for Proposal Management Professional (APMP) certification.
Security Clearance:
- Eligibility for obtaining a government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph is preferred but not mandatory.
