Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team at Fortis Fire and Safety. As a Fire Sprinkler Fitter, you will be responsible for performing installations, making modifications or repairs to sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installations, modifications, and repairs to sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and codes.
  • Work unsupervised and perform to a high standard of workmanship.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry standards and new technologies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including company vehicle, and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Valid Driver License and good DMV record required.
Requirements
  • Industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of NFPA Standards required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday, rotating On Call Shifts (Service Department Applicants).
Compensation

$25 - $35/hour dependent upon experience.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. The position requires climbing ladders and scaffolds, as well as the ability to work in excess of 40 feet above the ground. He/she must be able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all company safety requirements in the office and on the jobsite. Heavy equipment may be used and he/she needs to be able to lift weighty objects up to 50 lbs above his/her head.
