Job Title: E&S Commercial Property Underwriter

RSUI Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Underwriter to join our team in Atlanta. As a key member of our Property department, you will be responsible for underwriting, servicing, and retaining profitable property insurance accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain a profitable book of business, utilizing self-initiative and creativity to drive growth.
  • Maintain exceptional levels of job knowledge and market awareness, advising management on market conditions and their impact on our products and operations.
  • Service complex property and inland marine risks, ensuring accurate and timely underwriting decisions.
  • Review and analyze submissions for acceptability and completeness, securing supplemental information as needed.
  • Determine and recommend acceptable terms within underwriting authority limits.
  • Bind coverage and oversee timely policy issuance.
  • Service existing accounts, monitoring claims and loss experience to maintain profitability.
  • Collaborate with other departments on issues related to their areas of expertise.
  • Examine policy language and make recommendations for change.
  • Maintain relationships with existing producers and develop new relationships with producers.
  • Conduct broker negotiations and presentations during marketing calls.
  • Attend business-related functions, such as team meetings, marketing events, and company events.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of commercial property underwriting experience.
  • College degree or equivalent business experience required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Property Coverages.
  • Prior underwriting/brokerage experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word & Excel).
