Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our Radiology team. This role is critical in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of radiology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after radiology procedures.
  • Administer medications and contrast agents as necessary.
  • Monitor patients vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition.
  • Educate patients and their families about the procedure and post-procedure care.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards.

Qualifications
  • Current RN license in the state of Washington, D.C.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or radiation therapy.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) preferred or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience with chemotherapy administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
