Configuration Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Configuration Specialist to join our team at Saxon Global. In this role, you will be responsible for providing intermediate-level configuration services and environment support on multiple platforms, including UNIX, Linux, Windows, AWS, and Oracle in the test environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provides intermediate-level configuration services on multiple platforms in the test environment.
- Works on systems with an intermediate number of interfaces and users.
- Completes software builds and elevations, creates directories and security groups, and recreates prior versions.
- Monitors software, hardware, and/or middleware updates.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Five years of configuration, change management, or development experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem analysis and research skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of software build and elevation processes, source code library management, compiling applications, technical standards and deliverables, and technical writing basics.
- Intermediate knowledge of one or more IT platforms: AS/400, Client/server, IBM mainframe, Microsoft Windows NT, OS/390, UNIX/Linux.
- Intermediate knowledge of current versions of the following products: C++, COBOL, Java, Librarian, Perl/Shell, PVCS Suite, Tivoli Suite, Visual Basic.
This role requires the ability to work in a hybrid onsite environment, with 2 days in Malvern, PA and 3 days onsite. The successful candidate will also be required to participate in on-call support rotation for our Global Resiliency team.
