Position Summary:
We are looking for a junior structural engineer for our team who will collaborate with a skilled multi-disciplinary group of professionals. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new office dedicated to serving industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design steel structural systems for industrial and semiconductor facilities, focusing on equipment support and seismic design.
- Develop construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with team members across mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.
- Engage in client design review meetings and present design strategies.
- Prepare specifications and comprehensive reports.
Expectations:
- Familiarity with current building codes, especially IBC and local amendments, as well as ASCE7.
- Knowledge of common structural materials, particularly steel, and relevant codes such as ACI and AISC.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team spirit.
- Exceptional technical writing capabilities.
- Highly organized with a capacity for quick learning and adaptation to new engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and structural analysis software.
- Commitment to punctuality and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of structural engineering design experience.
- Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.
- EIT, PE, or SE registration is advantageous.
