The Center For Discovery is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our Outpatient Eating Disorder Program. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to individuals struggling with eating disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized dietary meal plans, conducting weekly calorie counts and monitoring patient progress.
- Conduct thorough dietary intake assessments on admission and maintain accurate documentation of client progress.
- Facilitate nutrition groups and provide education to patients and their families on healthy eating habits and nutrition.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and develop treatment plans that address the physical and emotional needs of patients.
- Communicate effectively with referring providers and outpatient treatment teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Supervise Diet Techs to ensure supportive mealtimes and monitor supplementation.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed and provide emergency support to patients and families.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field and completion of an accredited dietetic internship.
- Registered Dietitian certification and licensure in the state of practice.
- Minimum one year of experience in dietary counseling, preferably in a mental health setting.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary interventions in the mental health field.
