Swim Instructor Job Description

At SafeSplash, we believe swimming is a life skill that requires dedication, patience, and passion. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in teaching our students the fundamentals of swimming, while also promoting water safety and confidence in the water.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach swimming lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, following the SafeSplash curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Provide continuous, positive feedback to students and parents on their progress and improvement.
  • Structure class time to ensure effective learning and safety, while also maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere.
  • Ensure the safety of all students and staff during lessons and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in swim instruction or a related field.
  • Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer, and infant certification.
  • WSI certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds in weight.
