Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Cynet Health. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care by preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week contract position working night shifts (Monday - Friday) with one rotating weekend per month. You will be responsible for handling a daily caseload of approximately 65 surgical cases and 1200 tray volume. You will also rotate on-call duties, twice per month, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to the highest standards
  • Rotate on-call duties, twice per month, including weekends
  • Handle a daily caseload of approximately 65 surgical cases and 1200 tray volume
  • Provide critical support to surgical teams by ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and prepared for procedures
  • Maintain high standards for decontamination and sterilization processes
  • Assist in the assembly and wrapping of surgical instruments and materials
  • Assemble case carts with precision and attention to detail
  • Maintain and manage high-level disinfection (HLD) and scrub procedures effectively
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Valid state license required at time of submission
  • CBSPD or IAHCSMM certifications
  • Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and trauma settings
  • Experience in surgery cases such as orthopedics, urology, endoscopic/laparoscopic, vascular, thoracic, neurology, gynecology, bariatrics, plastics, podiatry, ENT, transplant, robotics, and implants
  • Ophthalmology experience preferred
  • Experience using SPM and EPIC systems
Additional Information:

Candidates may be required to float between various units within their skill set. Strong references covering at least one year of employment within the last three years are necessary for consideration. All travelers are expected to complete required modules prior to the start date and annually, as applicable. Communication devices will be provided as needed for assignment duties.
